The original Global Styles icon library at Synaptic had become visually inconsistent due to random additions over time. With changes in typography, colors, and the introduction of dark mode, there was a pressing need to update the icon library to ensure readability and maintain a strong sense of brand personality.

This iconography project aimed to revamp the existing icon library to align with modern design trends and enhance usability across various interfaces – including dark mode. The project focused on creating a consistent, visually appealing, and versatile set of icons that could be easily recognizable and scalable.

At Synaptic, research reports and digital assets were published weekly due for which we created various templates to ease our work while meeting the constant deadlines. Along with the reports were other various assets that we worked upon on rotation which include whitepaper publications, landing pages, data reports and more.

About

If I recall correctly, the first layout I ever made was a self-initiated class newspaper in grade 5. I used to update it with everything that happened that week in our class, along with silly little games and doodles. This further grew into me making covers for books on PicsArt in later years—messing around with the clone tool and experimenting with different blur options. I never thought much of it until I used the actual Photoshop application later in college and realized that I was familiar with the tool because of my little PicsArt adventures.

I spent my college life picking up gigs that would help me become familiar with various applications and tools. This led me to start a little shop on Instagram, where I practiced all the impractical ideas that couldn't be implemented in routine work, with the small incentive of actually selling those designs as merch. I also ended up with a pretty successful YouTube channel—but that's a story for another day.

My core interest lies in building robust design systems and mobile apps. At present, I am working as a Visual Designer at Synaptic, a diverse role that constantly keeps me on edge and pushes me with tight deadlines.

Apart from work, I’m also a full-time plant mother, with a strict morning routine that consists of daily coffees and books. I love trying my hand at different artistic hobbies. At the moment, I am obsessed with air-dry clay and pottery.
You can always catch me at galleries and museums.
